2017 Hinton Creek Fence Project
HInton Creek: 5.5 miles of fence will protect approzimately 3.4 miles of habitat and exclude livestock from over 1,700 acres until after June 30th. The Umatilla National Forest proposes to briefly graze livestock and monitor stream response. This fence will be constructed on the National Forest with materials and funding contributed by teh Nationsl Wild Turkey Federation, ODFW as well as the Umatilla National Forest. A cattleguard will be installed as part of this project; used decking will be provided by the Forest while OWEB funds will cost share for the footings and installation.
